Public Health Nursing Department
The Public Health Nursing Division of
Hancock County Health Department provides health promotion
and disease prevention to the residents of Hancock County.
The
Nursing department does low cost adult immunizations, please call
the office for more information. Programs
that provide these services include: free immunizations to
infants and children through age 18, free lead testing for ages 1-4 years or older if a known lead hazard exist, tuberculosis skin testing
for the general public at a charge of $3.00
for infants/Children and $8.00 for adults,
investigation of communicable diseases, client needs assessment,
and seasonal flu vaccine clinics. Other services provided
include pregnancy testing, counseling and distribution of
prenatal vitamins and counseling on the treatment of head
lice to school age children. The Public Health Nursing Division
employs two full time Registered Nurse and one part time
Registered Nurse. Call during office hours if you have further

services.
