Under Hancock County Code Sec. 150.23, all permits are doubled if construction is started before securing a building permit. Any person or persons who occupies a residence or other structure without a final inspection and a final occupancy permit issued by the building inspector will be fined $150.00 per day. Each day in violation is a separate offense.
